Yaquina Head Lighthouse — Storm Series 1
Oregon Coast Fine Art Photography
About
You Have to Climb Salal Hill to See It This Way.
Most people photograph Yaquina Head from the parking lot or the designated overlooks. This isn't that shot.
To get this angle, I hiked to the top of Salal Hill — above the lighthouse, above the standard viewpoints. From there, you see how exposed this headland really is. The waves that reach these rocks have to be 20 feet or more just to break here. Smaller swells don't register. This day they did.
What you're looking at is a storm surge event at one of the most photographed lighthouses on the Oregon Coast — seen from a vantage point almost no one takes the time to reach. The lighthouse has stood at this point since 1873. On days like this one, you understand exactly why it was built here.
Every print is made to order on archival-grade media — the same materials used in fine art and museum printing. Printed, inspected, and shipped by Jeremy Burke personally.
Built to Order
Every print in this collection is individually produced after your order is placed — never mass-manufactured or pulled from inventory. That means your piece is made specifically for you, using the materials and format you select.
Production takes 2–3 weeks from the time of order. Each print is personally inspected by Jeremy before it ships.
